The first session in Tooting Folk’s new home, the Gorringe Park, takes place on 5 October, when the headline act will be the Thumping Tommys.

The Thumping Tommys play a fiery mix of bluegrass, Americana, Scottish and Irish traditional music – and whatever else takes their fancy – and have recently released their first album, comprised of original material!

The Tommys have toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe captivating audiences with their heady brew of barn-storming, blues infused Irish, American and English folk music.

Their debut album showcases the versatility of the band, from Dylan-esque ballads to thumping bluegrass and devilish blues hooks. You can also check out their live album, recorded in Norway, on Spotify.

As usual there will also be floor spots! Those who want to perform should come along at 7:30pm to put your name on the list.

Doors 7:30pm. Music starts at 8pm. Entry £6.

Upstairs at the Gorringe Park, 29 London Road, Tooting, SW17 9JR
